How About the Maumee Indoor Theater?

Did you know we have an Art Deco gem in Maumee? The Maumee Indoor Theatre has been listed as an historical site primarily because of its Art Deco exterior. Built in 1946 as a single screen movie house, it operated until 1996. The city of Maumee purchased it in 2000 and spent 3 years and $3 million renovating it. It’s one of the last independent theaters in the Toledo area and certainly the last one to show movies on a regular basis.

The sound system is modern and 3-D movies can be projected here. The old-style theater seats in the main auditorium are very comfortable. In addition to the main theater, there is a smaller “screening room” on the back of the building featuring padded folding seats and 6 large round tables with chairs in the back of the room.

The theater reopened in 2004 as a two-screen mullti-purpose venue. Today spaces are available for rent with many amenities including digital projection, wireless internet, conference calling, DVD, power point and cable TV connections for live performances, business meetings or parties.

Best of all, it’s affordable – especially for families! Every Wednesday movies are $4.50 including popcorn and pop! If you have a group, you can download a form for discounted tickets! Concessions are reasonable too with several options: Mix and Match Mondays (choose 3 items for $7.50), Two for Tuesdays – just like it sounds, Wild Wednesdays ($1.25 for pop and $1.25 for popcorn), free pop refills on Thursdays!

You can’t miss the Maumee Indoor Theatre!
